Forest Hills Christian Music Showcase and Competition
We are looking for the best Christian Music performers, instrumental bands, gospel groups, gospel singers, rappers, quartets, blue grass, county western, Rhyme and Blues, Neo-Soul, Classical, vocalists, and others to participate in the Forest Hills Music Concert Contest. These groups or individuals will have the opportunity to preform before a live audience for cash prizes for the first, second, and third place winners. Each group, choir, individual, band or etc. will be given 5 minutes to perform their entry in front of a panel of five judges and a live audience. The panel will determine, if the performers will continue to the next level.
Rules:

The music must be original music or music in the public domain.

The music must represent Christian Values, in lyrics, stage presence, and performance.

The music cannot contain any vulgar language, sexual lyrics (explicit or implicit), no violence, or anything that is contrary to Christian practices and values.

Performances must be in appropriate clothing that will not embarrass our Savior and ourselves, or as if our grandparents were in the audience.

Each person or group must submit a three minute video of the person/group performing the song submitted.

No A.I. generated music written or performed.

Song presented must be the song performed.

All entries must be submitted by email.

All entries are due September 15, 2026. Any entries emailed after this date will not be considered for the contest.

If selected for the contest, the groups or individuals will be notified shortly after the closing date. Please submit your second selection after notification.

All groups selected to participate in the contest must be at Forest Hill’s UMC by 3 pm., the day of the October 16, 2026

If any of these rules are violated, the groups or individuals will forfeit any prize money immediately.

The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners will be determined by the panel (with consideration of audience participation).

In case of a tie, the audience along with panel judges will determine the winners.
All entries are due by September 15, 2026 by 11:59 pm. All participants will be notified by email, and phone call. Upon notification, each group participating will be required to sell tickets to the concerts not to be valued over $10.
The live performance will be done on the Forest Hills UMC campus in the Fellowship Hall on
October 16, 2026. The doors open at 6 pm.
